its that time again. time for me to share my adorable niece and nephew on the blog. but first, can anyone else believe its almost september? i say it all the time but seriously, time just flies. the past few weeks i’ve been MIA from the blog and well … life. after going on an amazing five year anniversary vacation with matthew, i feel as though i’ve been in a rut when it comes to blogging and just life in general. august was just so jammed backed with weddings and every other day of the week scheduled with something that this often times does happen in august. i’m pretty used to it, so hopefully you all are so busy you haven’t noticed …. aaaand i just called myself out. sweet.
the last week of july, which seems like it was just the other day … tara and i headed north to get away for a week. of course i had my super handy and travel size [NOT] 27 inch computer along and decided to label it as a ‘workcation’. getting away from internet, life, cleaning … and relaxing a bit. with work in between sitting by the lake. we had such a wonderful time and are hoping to sneak away up there one more week before the temperatures start going down. we snuck out for some photos of my sister’s adorable kiddos and had so much fun putz’n around the lake on the golf cart and bribing the children [with ice cream] to smile. i know i’m obviously bias because they are my family, but how cute are these kids?! it was always a family joke because tara never was ‘athletic’ that we always would wonder what she was good at … clearly, it’s making babies. she found her niche. which reminds me that i’m so excited about baby #3 coming for my sister and Lucas this coming January! also a joke that tara is always pregnant but hey, she’s so good at it why not.
as always they won’t be finding out what they are having, which i love. so we won’t rush time along, and we will let he or she cook in there for a few more months … but so excited to have another niece or nephew! they truly are the best and so thankful to have another child to love coming in january.
hopefully baby three looks like these two, wouldn’t you agree?
sidenote: tara, you are so great at so many things other than making babies too. amazing hair stylist and assistant photographer 😉 along with being such a wonderful mother, sister, wife, daughter … i could go on and on but i won’t because you would like that just way too much. oh how i love to tease.
here are some interesting facts to know about our time taking these photos:
-irelyn can change her mood within seconds. you will see below.
-morgan was very nervous when i asked him to sit in the middle of the road. what a terrible aunt who convinces him the road isn’t busy and i won’t let him get hit. but don’t ever do this unless aunt leah says you can. wow. i should have kids.
-bribery was in full effect [ice cream of course]
-irelyn and morgan are scared of deer. yeah, i know. even when the deer are running in the opposite direction behind them.
-as you can see, tara is an amazing ‘stylist’ as well for her children. see tara, there is another great quality.
-when tara was singing ‘ole mcdonald had a farm’ irelyn added in that on his farm he had … burger and fries. ohhhhhh irelyn.
