Its so excited to be at that part of the year where I finally have some time to share on the blog all the weddings I’ve had to opportunity to shoot this past summer. As said on their engagement post, Mike is a friend of Matthew’s and it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with Quinn and I swear that I knew she was the one right when I first met her. Of course it may have something to do with the fact that Mike didn’t mess around and wasn’t known to introduce a girl to our group of friends so we knew she had a special place in his heart and I told Matt, I can just see it … he is head over heels for her. And it was so awesome to see him even more head over heels on their wedding day and the love between these two is so fun and just makes you smile ear to ear.
I especially love Mike’s laugh when it comes to photos. Lets just say we laughed a lot and had such an amazing day celebrating these two making the biggest commitment of their lives. Quinn started her wedding day in a beautiful house on Lake Michigan with her best-est friends and closest family. I loved watching her very close and cute relationships with her nieces, and also knew right away this girl’s family means the world to her. And she is a total daddy’s girl … Quinn has never actually told me that to my face … but she doesn’t have to, I can tell. And I just love a good mushy father daughter relationship. When Quinn first asked me to be her wedding photographer I was so excited, shortly after we booked the day … I received another email asking for the same date. I was so bummed to send an email saying I was already booked and they wrote back saying that her daughter Quinn would have to have the second best photographer and I just cracked up because it turned out it was her mother who had inquired with me and they both had sent emails days apart. I was so flattered and of course HONORED to be there and become so close with this family on such a special day.
The bridal party was a blast of course, and the family was amazing. Beautiful ceremony was held on Spring Lake followed by a reception that had some killer dance moves. So thankful to have been a part of their day and I hope they cherish these images forever and it brings them back to their amazing day.
p.s. happy halloween!!!
p.s.s. big thanks to my dear friend miss Tifani for shooting with me
