krista + matt :: engagement

a few months ago i received a wedding inquiry from krista. she had found me through the one and only facebook and had also heard of me through some mutual friends. after meeting at panera bread and confirming that we were right for eachother πŸ˜‰ we were so excited to get together and for me to be able to meet the lucky man. it use to be a very common thing … blind dates. i know a lot of couples that have been married for 50 some years that met on a blind date, including my good ole grandma and grandpa. both sets of my grandparents actually. isn’t that crazy. i think it was just really popular and i feel as though back in the day they learned to love eachother. matt and krista are a unique couple because of that. krista’s uncle approached her with an idea … to go on a blind date. once again … facebook helped out a lot. she totally went online and confirmed this idea and agreed to go out with matt. he admits though (total guy) he went in totally blind. after seeing a movie they sat in his truck for hours and talked until early in the morning. that should have been the first sign.

even though it isn’t berry season we had to meet at matt’s berry farm in holland to start off our session. oh and meet stella. she tagged along too. and boy does she love berries! i loved shooting in their farm that i feel shows so much of matt’s personality and their relationship. matts house is wrapped around by these acres and acres of beautiful berry farm. how peaceful. although i had to remind matt to keep ‘smiling with his teeth’ we had such a good time. i loved getting to know this couple and hearing their love story. probably one of my favorite things to do in my job. what you say?! talking?! leah?! nooooo … i don’t even really like to talk πŸ˜‰ ha

can’t wait to watch and be apart of this couples marriage happening next may! πŸ˜‰
