Somehow Easter has come and gone and it’s a week later. I don’t think I’ve ever been so tired as I was the afternoon after the Easter craziness, and the rest of the week. Its been a crazy busy month.
Levi was so excited when he woke up and the Easter bunny had come and left some baskets of goodies for him and sister. We tried to hype up Easter to him and tell him how Jesus died for our sins but he would just stare at us in confusion. Then come Sunday morning he was running throughout the house saying, ‘the Easter bunny came!!! The Easter bunny came!!” I’m excited for the years when he’ll understand more of what Easter is really about, but I’m not rushing it! That’s for sure! It goes fast enough on its own.
Pointing our fingers is our new thing.
Sunday morning was opening Easter baskets, flying around getting ready, church, then my sister’s house for brunch & an Easter egg hunt in her woods behind her house with the cousins. I absolutely love hearing how the “Easter bunny POOPED JELLY BEANS in our toilet again this year Aunt Leah!!!” as soon as I walk in the door at my sisters. I told them definitely should make a sign and ask him to please flush next year. I mean seriously Easter Bunny …
The egg hunt was a success. Levi stopped and ate the contents of the egg after every find. So it took us a bit longer than everyone else. We snapped some photos of the kiddos before which has become a tradition. Also a tradition that the husbands complain about it every. dang. time. I will say trying to get this many young children + babies to even LOOK in the same vicinity is quite the task. And with Easter’s warm Michigan weather [that day, we currently have snow], I was sweating.
I had SO much fun putting together the kids Easter baskets, that is what I live for. I’m going to do a separate post on those next. So be sure to read that as well!
Hope everyone had a blessed Easter Sunday last week and celebrated the true meaning of Easter! He is Risen!!!! xoxo -Leah … get ready for pictures galore.
[Little miss Clare bear decided it was a good idea to pee through her tights before our family photo, I knew I had forgotten something. Extra tights. Boo.]
Got a little sidetracked with Aunt Tara’s awesome sandbox …
Back to eating candy & scowling at mom with the phone in his face all the time …
Some don’t even need to OPEN the eggs, just eat the whole darn egg.
Love that little cheesy smile, aka toothless grandma face.
You can see those two little teefers that just recently popped through! Somehow this little baby is going to be nine months soon. [insert ugly cry face]
Here is real life … fake smiles, not looking, covering our face having a meltdown, lifting our dress, and grabbing our lady bits. Awesome. Gotta love it. Happy Sunday friends!
