We all are guilty of it. Loosing touch with great friends. Abbey and I became friends in college and then … nothing. She moved to Mount Pleasant to continue onto her Bachelors in Interior Design and I went and started working at Lamar. It wasn’t until about a year ago that she randomly called me. She needed an internship and of course I made something happen and our renewed friendship began. Obviously, I was an amazing boss. : ) We did work! I swear! But we did have a lot of fun too! Her mom lives in Sand Lake so often times she stayed with Matthew and I. She calls herself, his second wife. (don’t worry, I watch it haha) Zoey loves her and she is basically the best second housewife/dog sitter ever! Oh and did I mention friend!? She has been there for me through these big life changes of changing careers and supported me one hundred percent. Not to mention, she’s just FUN to be around. She is so happy and comfortable in her own skin, its amazing and uplifting. I have introduced her to basically my entire family and they have adopted her as their own.
It was again, an adventerous day with Abbey, but it was sorta nice out … or atleast we thought. We just ran out to shoot a couple shots of her before she moved away to Royal Oak. It was FREEZING! But you know us Michiganders … it was 40 degrees out and we were wearing flip flops and no coats. The sun was shining! So we basically thought that meant it should be warm out! After freezing out butts off … we ran back to the car as fast as we could, which is when I took the lovely picture of myself (the last picture) showing you why I don’t shoot until April/May around here! I don’t like it. I like snowmobiling in it. But not freezing my poor little fingers off.
Abbey, I love you! Good luck with your future endeavors in Royal Oak. And if it doesn’t go good, your couch is awaiting (and not going to lie, I would be kinda happy). Please continue to leave me youtube video updates.
