Matthew had the day off yesterday and I totally forgot to share this little post with you guys because we were so busy getting TONS done and I just loved every second of it. Feels so great to cross so many things off the to do list! And today is no different, I’m running around like crazy working on accomplishing some things. Sometimes it feels as though the baby’s arrival is so far away because its ‘next year’ but when I look at the countdown and the fact that we’re under 50 days away from his or her arrival, it makes me so anxious, excited, nervous … all those things bundled into one. On Thanksgiving my stepmom snapped a few photos of me and the bump in her backyard while the snow was falling. The bump is growing nicely these days, nice and slow but definitely growing.
How far along: 32 weeks, 4 days [when I typed this]
Best moment this week: Definitely feeding the baby all the yummy food on Thanksgiving. I didn’t over eat too bad … but definitely saved some room for my mother in law’s amazing homemade pumpkin pie
Movement: Tons and tons of rolls and kicks and lots and lots of hiccups!
Miss anything: Definitely NOT drinking after seeing a few people with a hangover on Thanksgiving … nooooo thank you!
Food cravings: Lets just say this particular week, with Thanksgiving I absolutely loved mashed potatoes and gravy along with pumpkin pie.

How is Zoey handling the news: Still in denial
Week 33 has come so fast! It seems so crazy that the week of Christmas I’ll be full term at 36 weeks! But I am a true believer in letting that baby stay in there and cook as long as he or she wants to so I’m really hoping to make it to my due date. I would rather not go early. If anything maybe a few days early. We’re getting so close to be ‘ready’ though … well, my definition of ready. My mom reminds me all the time, “Leah, you could have that baby today and you would be fine! You just need a boob, blanket, and car seat.” haha … okay mom 😉 … my OCD ass doesn’t think like that but I will say I’m feeling much better after yesterday! Matthew and I got so much done together!
How far along: 33 weeks, 3 days [today]
Sleep: Awesome, still having crazy dreams and also having to roll out of bed/fall kind of thing. And I may grunt a few times in the process … totally normal right?!
Best moment this week: Picking our real Christmas tree up and decorating it. We kept saying how crazy it is decorating with a big ole belly! Last Christmas we were praying so hard for this and here we are. So amazing and thankful. OH ANDDDDD I found out some very exciting news in our family this week. I’ll share later 😉
Movement: Holy cow is this baby a mover! I video my belly moving all the time and send it to family and they are even blown away. And still lots of hiccups!
Miss anything: Snowmobiling
Food cravings: Root beer
Maternity Clothes: Yes, along with mixing in a few non-maternity pieces
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope. Definitely feel the baby pushing on my lungs and bladder these days. Oh and I just have to say too that it blows my mind how many people have a negative outlook on being pregnant! So many people will see me [strangers] and say, Oh girl … I hope you’re getting close … or when I ask the clerk how she is doing and she responds, better than you it looks like. What?!?! I love being pregnant! Don’t get me wrong, its a lot of work with aches and pains [and yes, I was sick in the beginning too] but it is such a blessing and so fun! So I always respond back super positive. Gotta try to change the way some of these woman view pregnancy!!! Well that, and I just am a positive person and I hate complainers.
Have you started to show yet: Yes! I had a guy at a store ask me when I was due and then after answering him he told me he once asked a woman who ended up responding that she wasn’t pregnant. I then joked and said what if I would have said I’m not, and he just looked at me and laughed and said, I KNOW you’re pregnant haha. Okay, I guess its pretty obvious these days 😉
Gender prediction: Boy … I would be so shocked if this sucker came out and they said its a GIRL! ahhhh … so excited to find out!
Labor signs: No, I do have braxton hicks here and there along with some lovely aches and pains below but nothing out of the norm.
Belly button in or out: BLOWN out
Wedding rings on or off: On. Deifnitely swelling though. My whole body … especially my fat little feet and my lovely new cankles. haha, they make me laugh so hard.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, I did cry a few times this week for a little bit about the dumbest things. Totally normal. Matt is doing a good job at dealing with those. They are over really dumb things … I’d rather not say haha, and I totally know I’m being ridiculous while I’m crying but it just happens haha.
Looking forward to: We get our maternity pics taken this week!!!! EEEkkkkk! I can’t wait! Hoping there is some snow on the ground but who knows. Oh and of course … CHRISTMAS and Christmas parties with all the families and seeing everyone! Unfortunately all my grandma’s are leaving me for florida then and I’m so sad about that! I might fly them all home when the baby is here! I NEED MY GRANDMA’S!
How is Zoey handling the news: Well, this week we laughed so hard because she went into the nursery and comes out with toys in her mouth. This should be interesting. I don’t want to yell at her about it, and to be honest it kind of makes me laugh. She goes in there and goes ‘shopping’ … so we’re just trying to teach her that the basket full of toys in there is not hers. But we laughed so hard during dinner as she walks out with a new toy. Nothing has been ruined yet, she just nicely carries it around … but when she does … I’m sure I’ll cry. 😉
