29 + 30 week bump

Finally a bump update! I’m still on cloud 9 about being pregnant, is that weird? Seeing that I’ve been for 30 crazy weeks now?! Brittany and I snuck off after my doctor’s appointment and snapped a few photos. Its becoming harder and harder and not to mention colder and colder to get these pics done. We planned on doing them yesterday but then there was that crazy storm/tornado watch we had so that was not gunna happen. The bump is definitely growing these days. Kind of fun to wait a bit more in between pics so you can see the growth. I am measuring at exactly 30-1/2 weeks which is what I am in these pics so that was awesome to hear! I’ve been super busy with meeting brides, working, and preparing for the babe the past few weeks and have been having some showers now which I love!!! They are so fun and I am SOOO THANKFUL to all my friends and family for all their sweet gifts, cards, and of course it is just so nice to see everyone and catch up! I actually have 2 showers again this weekend! Yippie! Baby M and I are so excited.

How far along: 29 weeks, 3 days (when I typed this)
Best moment this week:
Passing my glucose test was exciting! Not exciting thing happened to me this past week though. I totally biffed it and fell down a whole flight of stairs. Pretty scary. I blame the socks. Now we laugh about it but I was totally crying because A. My ass killed and B. It scared me obviously because of baby! Matt was making coffee and heard the fall and screamed like a girl and ran downstairs where I laid on my side. Of course asking if the baby was fine, I assured him it was my ass that took the fall. But it was so cute because he ran and got the heart monitor just in case and found the heart beat on his own. And then the bruise came. Thee worst bruise I have ever had. It was insane. Still is. But so thankful my butt [which just so happens to have a bit more cushion these days] took the fall. Matt told me no more going downstairs, so I guess he is doing laundry now 😉
This is one busy crazy baby! Should be interesting once he or she comes out 😉
Miss anything:
 Riding Horse
Food cravings:
Nothing specific, just enjoying food more these days
Maternity Clothes: Yes, but I still have not taken the plunge on maternity jeans. I don’t think I can make it much longer though. Ugh.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Have you started to show yet:
Gender prediction: Still sticking with my guess its a Boy!
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: Out … as in blown out.
Wedding rings on or off: On, pretty sure they are stuck on there now
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to:
My next shower this coming weekend!
How is Zoey handling the news:
I sometimes wonder what she thinks … like, “seriously mom, what have you been eating?!”

If you have been following me on instagram [if not make sure you do! @leahmullett] then you are well aware of the nesting going on. Matthew laughs at me but always is saying how awesome of a mom I’m going to be. Which is nice to hear. I’m not sure if learning how to crochet will make me a better mom but it definitely makes me feel a bit more … maternal …. or older. I’ve also been cooking a lot lately and of course staying home more. I have always been a home body but now, I seriously ALWAYS want to be home. I’m sure that will change and I should be taking advantage of the fact that I can easily leave my house without a baby but I just enjoy my time at home … nesting. Preparing. Cleaning and organizing. I’m such a freak lately.

How far along: 30 weeks, 5 days
Great along with some crazzzzy weird dreams! They are insane.
Best moment this week:
Had so much fun at my baby shower on Sunday! And something I haven’t done in foreverrrrr was get a mani and pedi! My cousin actually ‘tipped’ me for taking her photos by treating me to a pedicure and boy was that awesome. I forgot how awesome it feels to ‘pamper’ yourself here and there and it is definitely something I’m going to keep up on the last two months! One more fun thing this weekend was going out and being the DD on cousin night on Friday. I actually loved being the DD and not drinking, and realizing how crazy my cousins are. You know … when you’re the only sober one in the group haha. Fun times.
Tons of movement and lots and lots of hiccups lately. Sometimes more than 3 times a day I will notice them. And then he or she always gets mad I think and wiggles like crazy.
Miss anything:
I totally did NOT miss waking up after going out and being hung over after cousin night. So it was nice to wake up and feel great 😉
Food cravings:
Nothing specific, but I do love me some pumpkin pie … pregnant or not. And have been getting lots of it! I also am up for trying new things which isn’t usually me.
Maternity Clothes: Yes! My mom actually ordered me some maternity jeans I guess. She didn’t even ask me what size to get so WE SHALL SEE.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
I can feel the baby pushing on my organs a lot more these days, lungs, sometimes I get weird stomach aches … so I’m guessing it has to do with that. But other than that feeling great still! I was anemic which is totally normal for me so I am now on iron pills. Oh goodie. If you’ve ever taken iron … you know what I’m talking about.
Have you started to show yet:
Yes! Pretty sure my mother in law is trying to fatten me up with all these yummy breads and pies she brings over! I’ve been at a steady pound a week gain so far but if she keeps coming over that might skyrocket.
Gender prediction: Boy … and now I have random people asking what I’m having and once I tell them we didn’t find out I hear, oh for sure a boy because of the way I’m carrying. I’d be so surprised [but happy either way] if we had a little girl!
Labor signs: No! Definitely have been having braxton hicks the past few weeks, usually when I go for a walk or am on my feet a lot. Good reminder to slow down Leah, which is hard for me. As of 29 weeks we found out too that the baby is HEAD DOWN! LOCKED AND LOADED!
Belly button in or out: Blown to pieces
Wedding rings on or off: On … for good. Starting to ‘swell’ up I think..
Happy or Moody most of the time:
Happy Happy
Looking forward to:
My two showers this weekend!
How is Zoey handling the news:
Needy as always. I’ve created a monster. A happy monster might I add.
