i love meeting new people. when i met stacey a few years ago, we struck up a friendship right away. only later to find life pulling us in different directions. i knew someday we would reconnect and sure enough we did. stacey contacted me soon after she had gotten engaged to this mystery man named aaron. i was so excited to hear she had fallen in love, it had been so long since we last talked.
we met end of the summer and shot their engagement shoot and i felt like i never stopped hanging out with this girl. and aaron. it took me about 2.4 seconds to immediately fall in love with his personality and them as a couple. we talked about getting some dinner and drinks before the wedding day came but with how fast this year has been flying by, next thing you know … its wedding time.
the wedding day started with the girls getting ready at stacey and aaron’s freshly built amazinnng home. after the girls were done with their final touches we headed over to the church to put the dress on and meet the groom. i love it when the groom tells me they aren’t nervous but won’t stop fidgeting. its so cute. i loved their reaction to one another and just proved that seeing eachother before is the way to go. they were so happy and relieved to see eachother and couldn’t stop smiling. i loved how as soon as aaron turned around they both just melted. you could see it. we ended up staying at the church for pictures which worked out perfectly. we were loving the warm november weather and took total advantage of it. yes it was a little chilly for a strapeless dress that day but stacey was a champ and totally rocked it. after a beautiful ceremony we headed down to grand rapids where we got some shots of them on the blue bridge, stacey’s always wanted some on the blue bridge. the reception was held at west walker sportsman club. i had no idea what to expect but loved the tranquility and simpliness of the building. they had such a fun bridal party. oh how i love fun bridal parties. they danced the night away and had some amazing speeches. stacey and aaron, thank you so much for inviting me into your life and wedding day. i couldn’t be happier that we have continued our friendship. i hope the first few weeks of marriage have been amazing and i can’t wait to hear about vegas! 😉
p.s. yes she’s doing yoga moves the morning of her wedding day and a big THANK YOU to by bestiest second shooter EVER! My big sis Tara. The one day I boss her around 😉 we make a great team!
