my weekend was filled with riding horse, hanging out with family, and a senior session. we were up at our cabin in kalkaska and i headed towards williamsberg to meet mariah and her family for a couple hours. with cowboy boots and spurs on and all. i swear the further north you get in michigan the nicer the people are. oh how i love northern michigan. i think we all know that … i might talk about it a lot. whoops.
we finally started snapping some photos after the storm passed and had a blast getting to know mariah and her mom holly who tagged along. an example of their super sweetness up north … she had a thermos full of hot chocolate ready for us girls when we got done. it was my first session this year that was a little chilly and i ended up wearing a sweatshirt the whole time and couldn’t have been more excited about it. i love shooting in chilly weather, especially after a super hot summer. and this time of year its perfect! not to cold, not too hot. when we were done shooting we hugged and said our goodbyes and holly then proceeded (on top of all the sweet stuff she had already done for me) to give me a bottle of wine that was made in traverse city i believe … which i thoroughly enjoyed that night with matthew.
mariah, you are beautiful and i hope you enjoy seeing some of my favorites 😉
sure enough … it was super windy at the beach …
