My sisters and I were so nervous to meet the ‘new’ family we were about to become apart of and little did we know, we would be welcomed in with open arms and a huge smile by everyone … especially Audrey. My mom married into a wonderful BIG family and I am so thankful to be officially apart of this family for almost twelve years now. I really don’t remember the first time we met, but all I remember is is that Audrey was so sweet and welcoming to the family and we hit it off from the very beginning. I loved our chats and we definitely don’t hang out as much as we should but I remember meeting her boyfriend Justen for the first time and thinking what a cute couple they made. I love hearing the story of how they met. It never gets old.
She was a nanny working next door to Justen. He of course noticed this adorable blonde right away, and the fact that she was shorter then him. Score. Didn’t take long for him to convince his sister to talk to her for him, and then eventually for him to finally introduce himself and ask her out on a date. Dating the next door nanny … talk about fate.
Knowing that a couple can stay together while going to different colleges and having miles between them is a lot to say about a couple too. Justen attended Michigan State [just so happens Audrey and her family are huge state fans that tailgate every game], and Audrey was at Grand Valley but the two stayed together for years and finallllly tied the knot. I am soooo happy for them, married life is so amazing. Their wedding was so beautiful and we were blessed with amazing weather in Lansing, Michigan that day. Love how weddings bring family members together for a good time from miles away.
Hoping these two have had an amazing few weeks of being married and so thankful I got to be a part of their day … oh and of course their cousin!
