i love seeing all the different styles and types of weddings. it makes it so exciting going to a wedding every weekend wondering how different it will be from the last one. crazy how different they really are, and all so beautiful. this wedding was what i wish i would have done, but in my defense … weddings were so different even five years ago! so i just live it through my amazing brides. lace, soft pinks, peonies, hay wagon, i could go on and on. this wedding was amazing. not only the decor and all the hard hard work amber put into it, but the family relationships were strong and there was so much love and celebrating going on this day it was contagious. everyone had a great time and we felt like family right away. perhaps due to the fact that amber comes from a family with NINE children! don’t worry, i already told her parents they were crazy. but i can’t blame them … all their children are soooo sweet and i had an amazing time with them all.
tara and i drove up to bellaire, michigan to photograph amber + brian’s wedding day. these are the times i am so grateful for photographs, not only because its my job and what i love to do but because these photos will hopefully hold the smallest moments and details of their wedding day and i hope brian and amber cherish them. tara and i ended up driving late friday night after shooting a wedding in grand rapids to bellaire and stayed at our cabin that is up-north. so it was a long weekend no doubt but a fun one and loved photographing two amazing couples in one weekend.
amber and i met through mutual friends in college and so thankful that God paired us together so that i could get to know her even better along with brian. even more thankful he paired these two together … more importantly i guess 😉 they lived a few miles away from each-other growing up and never knew of one another. such a cute story but now they have a beautiful farm that i want oh so very badly which is where we met for their engagement session.
thank you so much amber and brian for everything. i truly am soooo happy for you two and can’t wait to continue our friendship. make sure to check back tomorrow for part two, their super fun bridal party and reception with an amazing live band. loved it.
also big shout out to my sister tara who travels with me and i worked her quite a bit this weekend. not sure what i would do without you … probably stay home and cry all day. just say’n.
