Six kids for a long weekend

I can tell you guys one thing, I do NOT plan on having 6 kids anytime soon. Holy moly. This past weekend my mom and I watched my sister Tara’s kids while her and her husband were in Arizona on vacation. [Ages: 7, 6, 3, 2, 1.5, 7 months] We more so tagged teamed it because we both had to work. At one point we had all 7. YIKES. I will say it wasn’t near as bad as I had worked it up to be in my head prior to the weekend. I just kept thinking in my head,…

Willem :: Lifestyle Newborn Portraits

I quickly learned in my early photography years that newborn photography was a whole different ‘realm’ of photography. Nothing like shooting weddings, engagements, families, and seniors. I toyed around with the whole ‘props’ and ‘set ups’ for newborns and figured out that it just wasn’t for me. Throughout the years though, I continued to photograph some newborn babies here & there. Especially when my past bride + grooms had a bundle of their own. I was so honored that they asked me to document the most two exciting things that happen in your life. So I was there, and…

My Younique journey + my Makeup Bag

Happy Monday! We had a long weekend of babysitting my nieces + nephew while my sister and her husband were on vacation, I will definitely be sharing all that craziness soon. I think it was the first time in awhile I was actually EXCITED for a Monday and a normal day at home. Thank goodness.

If you follow me on social media, you saw that I recently became a ‘presenter’ for a makeup line called Younique. I am so so pumped for this new little adventure so I wanted to share a little about how I first came upon this cosmetic…

IKEA + Valentines Day + a Trip to the ER

I envisioned this past weekend going much differently then what actually took place. That seems to happen a lot doesn’t it?! Friday morning I headed off to Ikea with my friend Alisa. We had planned this trip months prior & I just love talking about something for so long and then actually DOING it. Feels so good. So we met up super early & drove the two and a half + hours to the maze of a store. Which I love.

The day was awesome & I really feel like we moved at a good pace! We…

Levi’s 2nd Birthday Party

I’ve been excited to share for awhile now Levi’s 2nd birthday party we had the day before his birthday. Still hasn’t hit me we have a TWO year old in the house now! Some days I’m like, ‘yup … terrible two’s is in full swing’ but then again, I feel like its more like terrible one + a half.

Something I actually really enjoy is planning & putting together little birthday parties. Pinterest parties some call them. I honestly just LOVE planning them and it has nothing to do with ‘what people think’. In fact, most of my family could…

Six + months with our little Clare

We’ve had our little Clare in our lives for almost seven months now! But I still wanted to do a six month post because I feel like they need to be six months for a little bit before you can update on what they’re like at six months! Does that make sense? I cannot believe we have had her in our lives for over half a year. I swear she was born last month but then again, she just fits in our little family so well, it feels like she’s been here all along. Having two babies back to back,…

Our Weekend

Hello Monday! Our to do list is long but we’re excited for the week over here … but still dreaming about this weekend. We spent it up north at our cabin in northern Michigan and although it didn’t snow as much as we would have liked, Levi still had a great weekend. If this little guy gets to be outside at all in a day, he’s one happy camper. Our trip up there, which is a three hour drive didn’t go as good as we would have liked so we stopped for an hour and had some dinner to give the…
