happy halloween

Hope everyone had a safe and fun halloween. Meet the big bad wolf Morgan, little red riding hood Irelyn, and of course the little miss piggy Mila. My adorable nieces and nephew. We had so much fun hanging out with the family tonight and for some reason, I just love this photo of them all looking down. Can’t believe its November now. Yikes.

Brush your teeth!

mike + quinn :: wedding

Its so excited to be at that part of the year where I finally have some time to share on the blog all the weddings I’ve had to opportunity to shoot this past summer. As said on their engagement post, Mike is a friend of Matthew’s and it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with Quinn and I swear that I knew she was the one right when I first met her. Of course it may have something to do with the fact that Mike didn’t mess around and wasn’t known to introduce a girl…

mckenna :: senior

Seriously, what is coming to this world? When seniors are this gorgeous … you know something is going on. I mean come on! I had the honor of photographing this beauty and was so thankful her mother asked…

I swear every spring, my business and life is so clean, organized, well structured … and then summer slaps me in the face and fall kicks me on the ground and I always end up pulling late nights in the office this time of year. I’m hoping to eventually figure this out but until then, it seems to be that I just edit edit edit, and send discs left and right [which feels amazing] and blog when I can just ‘make’…

falls beauty

a week ago today i was ‘exploring’ what beautiful northern michigan has to offer in the fall. along with matthew and my cousins jenny + aaron, i went on a weekend ‘road trip’ up to the cabin and then we traveled further north to check out the ‘tunnel of trees.’ i’m always blown away at God’s beauty and how many gorgeous places there are in this world, and i’ve seen SUCH a small part of it. so small i can’t even explain how small. i haven’t done a lot of traveling in my life, but really … matthew…

sydney + kyle :: saugatuck wedding

even with the temperature cooling down these days, i can’t forget the sweaty hot mess i was when shooting sydney + kyle’s wedding. wow was it a hot one! but such a beautiful day it was. they were married at the laketown center in saugutuck, where the girls got ready and we headed off for some ‘alone’ time with the two of them and boy is that my favorite time with my couples. so much smiling, kissing [between the bride + groom of course], laughing, and just maaayyybbbeee a model face or two. sydney and i went to high school…
