how is it june tomorrow?! i really just don’t understand how time flies by so fast! its scary!!! i woke up this morning feeling very disconnected from the world and my schedule. probably because yesterday was amazing and i was very ‘disconnected’. i’m not sure where the heat came from but we started out the day with a early horse ride in silver creek. the sun was shinning and it finally felt like summer. matthew even rode with me so that made the morning even more amazing as we talked and enjoyed the outdoors. one of my favorite things after…Continue Reading >

it rained on krista and matt’s wedding day, but i think it was perfectly fit for a spring may wedding in michigan. the landscape is so vivid green with all the beautiful blooms and life coming back after winter. not to mention, it gave krista a chance to wear some adorable polka dot rain boots with her wedding dress! These two are really so amazing, and were up for anything … even pictures in the woods under an umbrella. its so old news to be scared of rain on your wedding day. i’m over it. so should you be if…Continue Reading >

there is something about the energy surrounding a senior that i love. i think its just the feeling that anything is possible and so many new challenges ahead that gets me excited when i meet a high school senior. i love meeting new people and hearing their stories … or more so at this age, their dreams. they usually don’t know exactly what they want to do but that’s the beauty of it in my opinion. i’m excited for them to go off and experience meeting new people and seeing other areas. I [also coming from the hudsonville bubble] know…Continue Reading >
riley and cade are always a good way for me to kick off the portrait season. a workout for sure. these busy country boys know how to wear me down … but in a good way. like i said … a warm up for the season. we had to get these boys in their element … on a farm. holding chickens of course. they often help out their grandpa with chores around the farm and i love hearing about it and all their fun stories. cade basically stutters when you ask him a question about a john deere because he…Continue Reading >
