19 week bump

I can’t believe it’s Friday, the last weekend in August, September on Sunday, and that I am 19 weeks pregnant! Craziness! This week pregnancy was amazing and I am just LOOOOOVING all the kicks and movements I’ve been feeling all day everyday! We have quite the mover it seems. And a morning baby I’d have to say, that is when he/she is definitely the most active. Rut-Ro.

With all the kicks, I’m definitely feeling more preggo by the day! It just makes it so much more real now. Not to mention, Matthew and I made some pretty exciting purchases this past week which you’ll read about below. And had a doctor’s appointment that went awesome so that is always a relief and making me smile these days too. I just love doctor’s appointments, even if they are getting faster and repetitive … I’ll never get sick of these kicks and hearing the heartbeat. Matt warned me when I bought the heart monitor that the doctors appointments wouldn’t be as exciting now if I bought one but I’ll tell you what … Its still just as exciting to hear the doctor say everything sounds perfect because I really don’t know what I’m doing other than hearing a thump [which i totally love and makes me smile]. So just like everyone warned me I would never like bob evans food again after working there in college … he’s wrong. It never gets old.

How far along: 19 weeks, 2 days
Sleep:
Eh … my whole life I’ve always had a hard time falling to sleep and winding down. Beginning of my pregnancy, I didn’t struggle with it at all because my mind didn’t even have time to race before I was OUT. Now, even when I’m exhausted, my mind is going a million miles per hour thinking of ideas, to do’s, etc. So after my potty breaks in the middle of the night it is no fun trying to fall back asleep. Once I’m up, I’m up. For some reason my body is happy with 5 hours of sleep … for only half the day … so it really depends on when I wake up to use the bathroom on whether or not I’ll be falling back asleep and getting enough zzz’s.
Movement: Oh yes! Very active little baby already and I JUST LOVE IT. Seriously can’t get over how amazing it is. It makes me smile soooo big.
Best moment this week:
Definitely feeling the movement and our doctor’s appointment, hearing everything is going great always makes us feel better and so so happy. Not to mention … our exciting purchases!!! Crib and rocking chair were ordered and delivered this week! So fast! We’re going to wait to put them up for a bit so they remain in their boxes, but it was so fun ordering them together and so excited to put the nursery together and share with everyone eventually. One more … having my niece and nephew listen to the heartbeat was fun. They got so excited! Morgan is hoping for a boy of course. He is a little out numbered in the family.
Miss anything:
Nope! Starting to understand why my sister Tara wants to be pregnant 24-7, even if it is super hard, its sooo fun and rewarding.
Food cravings:
Mashed potatoes, pasta, raspberries, WATER, iced coffee has actually been a hit and came back on the menu … just for this week.
Maternity Clothes: A few essentials. I thought it would be so easy to find long tank tops like when my sisters were pregnant but of course now the style is hipster. High waist-ed shorts with bra-lettes. Yeah … you don’t wanna see me in that right now.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
This week I felt great! Barely any headaches either! I’ve been doing a better job with drinking water, so thinking that was the issue.
Have you started to show yet:
Definitely. Doctor says I’m right on track! Uterus is still pretty high so I pop out a bit more than some. So crazy how differently all woman carry their babies! Love the bump right now though, I think its the perfect size right now. Pretty soon though, things might get scary!
Gender prediction: This is a hard one! And why I love not knowing! [We’re not finding out] … My gut still says boy, so I believe I’m going to state that as my final answer. BUT my hair is falling out in clumps! Fortunately I have plenty to spare but still, kinda makes me think maybe its a girl. Doctor said his guess is a boy, made me smile. Love hearing people’s predictions! Make sure to leave yours below and we’ll see who was right in January! Or knowing my family’s background … possibly February 😉
Labor signs:
No
Belly button in or out:
OUT! Uterus is suppose to be to belly button at 20 weeks and mine is already there. I already had somewhat of an ‘outie’ so its just a flat belly button now. I actually like it better than my regular belly button … is that weird? Its cute.
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or Moody most of the time:
Happy Happy! Wanting time to SLOWWWW DOWN though!
Looking forward to:
We scheduled our ultrasound this past week so I’m excited for that! Less than two weeks and we get to measure the babe and make sure everything is all good and healthy. That will be so fun! Also, still not over the movements! So I’m always looking forward to those kicks throughout the days.
How is Zoey handling the news:
She hasn’t had much to say this week about the pregnancy. My nieces and nephew spent a lot of time over this week, we even had Morgan over for a sleep over and she does so well with the kids! She didn’t even act super depressed when they showed up like she does sometimes … because the center of attention is off her. She wanted to snuggle with Morgan the whole time.

Hope everyone has a super safe and fun holiday weekend. I apparently stink at blogging regularly even though I promised you guys all this goodness. Doesn’t help when your computer all of a sudden asks you to do some maintenance on it and you just don’t have time. I had so many shoots this week, I was running around like a mad woman! I’m so looking forward to a relaxing weekend and next week isn’t as crammed of a schedule so I can edit my bootie off. Should be fun. I do love getting caught up! So lets just say I’ll blog when I blog and keep checking back. No promises this time.

Big thanks to my sister Brittany who snapped a few photos for me. I bought this dress so long ago hoping I would be able to wear it pregnant someday! It is obviously more summery so I’m trying to wear it as much as possible before our colder weather comes … which I’m also looking forward to! Boots and fall decorations!!! Already have a pumpkin candle burning in the office!

Happy Friday! Tomorrow is Matthew and I’s ‘dating anniversary’ … 10 wonderful years ago we started dating! Pretty crazy!!!

xoxo, Leah
